Q: Are you an alcohol and drug free campground/float?
A: To ensure a safe, healthy, and inclusive environment for all participants and staff, Living Waters Canoe Ministry is a strictly drug- and alcohol-free environment. The possession, consumption, or distribution of the following substances is prohibited on all campgrounds, including parking areas and off-site excursion locations: Alcoholic beverages (of any kind).
Marijuana/Cannabis products (including flower, edibles, vapes, and oils), regardless of local legality or medicinal status.
Q: What is the cost to float?
A: $30 per person kayak OR canoe
Q: What time do float trips leave?
A: We work with groups to determine the best departure time
Q: How long is the float?
A: 8.9 miles. Takes anywhere from 3-6 hours. There is a rocky beach to stop and eat at.
Q: Where do you put in and take out?
A: We have you meet at camp, we then drive 45 min. to the put-in which is at Lead Mine State Park. Then you'll float to our camp and we'll pick you up there.
Q: What should I bring to float?
A: A smile and an attitude for adventure! We will supply the life jackets and paddles.
Q: Can I bring my own boat?
A: Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate personal boats due to safety and our insurance policies.
Q: Do your accommodations have electricity?
A: Yes, there are outlets in the Tree Huts and near the Tipi decks
Q: Is there potable water on site?
A: Yes, there are spickets outside of each bathhouse you can use.
Q: Can I bring my dog?
A: In trying to stop the spread of tick-borne illnesses, we can no longer allow dogs on our property.
Q: Do you allow RV's or trailers?
A: We have size limits for trailers and do not allow RVs or travel trailers. Troop trailers are permitted. Please inform your group members.
Q: Are there any deposits?
A: Currently, we do not require a deposit to make a reservation. If meals are requested, a deposit is required. To receive a deposit back the food order must be cancelled 14 days in advance of arrival.
If you purchase meals, you will be charged based on the confirmed number of people, even if fewer arrive. Reserve your best guess for your group. We will ask for your final numbers around 14 days prior for our planning process.
Q: Do you have a restaurant?
A: You can enhance your stay with meals from our dining hall. We offer breakfast and dinner options that will need to be booked or confirmed 14 days prior to your stay.
Q: What times are meals?
A: Breakfast is typically at 8:00 am and dinner is at 6:00 pm, subject to change. You will be notified of any changes by a staff member.
Q: Do you provide meals for on the water?
A: We offer the option to add a river lunch during booking or confirmation 14 days prior to your stay.
Q: Do you provide firewood?
A: Yes, we will provide any firewood you need. No charge. Please do not bring your own firewood.
